Chamber for Good
The Chamber for Good program supports our non-profit Chamber members by partnering on fundraising, organizational, and education efforts. Chamber for Good is currently dedicated to providing a range of high-quality educational opportunities to further strengthen nonprofit organizations in South Broward. Throughout the year, we will offer seminars focusing on fundraising, sustainable strategies, volunteer engagement, and cause-selling models. Training sessions are every 4th Wednesday of the month, and registration can be found at www.miramarpembrokepines.org. Registration is open to both members and non-members.
About Chamber for Good
Chamber for Good is a network of chambers of commerce throughout the country dedicated to leveraging the visibility, credibility, and relationships of the local chamber to support local charities and causes. Your local chamber of commerce serves as the champion of the backyard cause and the leader of the Give Local movement. Chamber for Good is a community-building tool that recognizes that a town or city becomes a true community when local residents and businesses become aware of the local needs and have access to a mechanism which allows them to part of the solution.
Care Bear Project
The Care Bear Project aims to provide teddy bears for Miramar and Pembroke Pines police and fire departments to comfort children exposed to traumatic situations. This helps the child accept that those first responders are there to help them. The program began in 2014 and has provided over 2,500 teddy bears to our local departments.
